A WOMAN who has lived a remarkable, drama-packed life – taking in mental turmoil, suicide attempts, going missing and the murder of her long-lost millionaire mother – this week thanked key people in Newton Abbot for helping her through ‘the dark times’.

Antoinette Ede, 51, and from the Bradley Barton area of the town, was fostered at birth – and half-a-century later she feels just confident enough to talk openly about her traumatic topsy-turvy existence.

And for that she has to thank the local branch of the town’s Andy’s Man Club and its sister group, the Women’s Wellbeing Club.
