A NEWTON Abbot road closed for several weeks due to gas works has reopened to traffic.
Wolborough Street is now under temporary traffic lights as the gas works continue.
The road had been closed since July 22.
Wales and West Utilities are busy upgrading the gas pipes, replacing the old metal pipes with plastic ones.
It is anticipated that Wolborough Street will be under temporary traffic lights, two and three way, until September 6, before the final phase of the works from September 9 to October 10 where the road will be under three-way temporary traffic lights.
