WHAT a day this was at the office for the ladies at Teignmouth Golf Club!
The ladies are through to the Still Cup finals having made their way through the rest of the competition.
Torquay Golf Club is the destination for the final with the event set to take place on Friday September 27. All spectators are welcome and the only request for those coming along is to please wear pink to match the players.
In the semi-finals, which were held at Thurlestone Golf Club, there were some extremely close matches for Teignmouth.
One in particular went all the way down to a 20th hole with the match all square after the usual 18 holes. They were eventually called in as Teignmouth had four wins in the bag already and so the outcome was no longer important.
The way that the Still Cup works is that the winner of each division and the best runner up team across the three divisions qualifies for the semi-finals.
Teignmouth were in Division Three alongside Tavistock and East Devon and advanced out of that trio.
Division One and Division Two were both made up of four teams. The former pitted Exeter, Okehampton, Tiverton and Dainton Park against each other. Meanwhile, in the latter, Saunton, Stover, Churston and Torquay were battling it out.
Good luck for the Teignmouth team in their final next month!
