TEIGNMOUTH AFC continued their topsy-turvy start to the season with a result to forget against Cullompton Rangers.
In South West Peninsula League action, Teignmouth were beaten 5-0 in their fixture away at Cullompton.
They kicked off August with a 2-0 victory over Bridport FC thanks to goals from Piers MacLauchlan and Hayden Roe before losing to Stoke Gabriel & Torbay Police in a one-sided affair, drawing with Sidmouth Town and narrowly beating Torrington AFC.
Seven points from five Premier East games is a very respectable record when you consider that Cullompton sit top on 11 and that Teignmouth are yet to play at home.
With ground transformations well underway, the league have allowed the club to play away games until it is ready to go in November.
As previously mentioned, Cully are out in front right now and they look to be a very strong outfit, making this 5-0 bank holiday battering far less worrying than it seems on the surface.
