BUCKLAND Athletic have a second consecutive Western League clash at Homers’ Heath to look forward to tomorrow.

After beating Saltash United for the second time this season, Street FC are next up in what is fourth vs third. Buckland are a point behind with five wins and a defeat to their name, as opposed to the five wins and a draw of Street.

Changing leagues now and Newton Abbot Spurs will also be at home during this international break for the top-tier teams as Sidmouth Town visit The Rec. Marc Revell’s men were two goals down and a man down following the dismissal of Lewis Breslan in midweek, only for the game against Cullompton Rangers to end 2-2.

Teignmouth AFC also had a midweek clash but theirs was one to forget, losing 5-0 away at league leaders Okehampton Argyle. Teignmouth have a weekend off and then they will go toe-to-toe with Bovey Tracey on Wednesday 11 at Mill Marsh Park.

Bovey, who currently sit ninth out of 16 teams in the Southwest Peninsula League, will travel to Torridgeside AFC tomorrow, a side yet to pick up a point through four games.

Lastly, to the South Devon Football League, and Newton Abbot 66 1st XI were one of four teams to win on the opening weekend in the Premier Division.

66 won 3-1 at Elburton Villa 2nd XI and face Paignton Saints next, in what will be their season opener.

Newton Spurs 2nds and Kingsteignton Athletic 1sts are going on the road to face Buckfastleigh Rangers and Ilsington Villa respectively.

Dropping down to Division One and Bovey seconds, Spurs’ thirds, Buckland seconds and WBB 1st XI will all be in action. For Buckland, it will be a first game of the campaign and they visit Plymouth True Blues, whilst Spurs and Bovey will both aim to make it two wins from two.

Newton Rovers 1st XI and Ipplepen Athletic 2nd XI will both be on their travels in Division Two, Ipplepen following up their 8-0 defeat to Babbacombe Corinthians by meeting a Watcombe team who have had points deducted.

Kingsteignton Athletic 2nd XI were one of two teams to net 11 goals last weekend and how they would love to continue such dominance at John Charles Park, the home of Brixham Town. Also in Division Three, there are away games for Newton 66 seconds, Ashburton firsts and Liverton United seconds.

Chudleigh Athletic 2nd XI are going to Barton hoping to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat and Newton Rovers would also love to get a first win on the pitch, their three points last weekend coming from a walkover versus Watcombe Wanderers.

Teign Village, the side that beat Chudleigh, will play Templer Way and Kingskerswell host the aforementioned Watcombe.
