TEIGNMOUTH & Shaldon are on their way back to the C Division West following a 105-run defeat away to champions Cullompton.
Teignmouth & Shaldon needed Clyst St George to lose to at Bideford and a win of their own to have a realistic chance of dodging relegation.
Although Clyst did lose at Bideford the ten bonus points they earned kept them safe. All T&S took home were five points. That was not enough to avoid relegation at the end of their first season in the B Division.
SOUTH Devon meanwhile, have some work to do during the winter following a 56-run loss against Cornwood that left them hovering over the C West relegation zone.
The Newton Abbot side only won five games all season – four of them against relegated duo Yelverton and Plymouth 2nd XI.
Lastly, Jack Tolley and Anand Abhishek both hit half-centuries and more for Stoke Gabriel in a four-wicket win over Ipplepen.
Pens were all out for 226 in the 43rd of their 45 overs with Jono Colgate making a top score of 79, a strong tally but they still saw it chased down.
Ipplepen finished sixth in the B Division with neither promotion nor relegation anything to worry about for the second half of the season.
Stoke on the other hand came fourth, 40 points ahead of ‘Pens and just two behind third-placed Bideford 1st XI.
