FIREFIGHTERS in Newton Abbot will be putting their hoses to good use again with the annual charity car wash. 

The team will be asking for donations in return for a jet wash. 

The event will again be raising money for the Firefighters’ Charity which helps support firefighters and their families. 

This year’s car wash will take place on Saturday April 20 starting from 9.30am. 

A spokesman for Newton Abbot fire station said: ‘No vehicle will be too big or too small, nor too dirty for us to tackle. 

‘There will be no set charge for a car wash, however, we please ask that you make a donation on the day that will go towards the charity. 

‘Cash or card will be accepted.

‘The Firefighters’ Charity is an amazing organisation that support Firefighters as well as their families. 

'They provide brilliant services that support both physical trauma as well as mental health support.’
