ROCK band Squeeze have been named as the headline act for next year’s Let’s Rock at Powderham Castle.
It’s a first appearance at Powderham for the band who rose to fame in the late 1970s and continued recording in the decades since, whose Top Ten hits include Cool For Cats, Up The Junction and Labelled With Love.
Lyrics by Chris Difford and music by Glenn Tilbrook, the band lead a stellar line-up for the iconic retro festival next summer.
Also performing, straight from Las Vega will be Matt Goss from Bros in his first Let’s Rock appearance.
Joining them will be favourites Kim Wilde, Go West, Bad Manners, Then Jerico, T-Pau, Jennie Bellstar, Pat Sharp, Thereza Bazar's Dollar and Owen Paul.
Squeeze said: ‘We headlined Let’s Rock Shrewsbury earlier this year, and it was such an enjoyable experience that we are delighted to be asked back to headline Exeter for 2025.
‘Let’s Rock allows us an opportunity to play our music to generations of Squeeze fans and nothing quite beats that.’
The most successful female artist of the 80s, Brit award winner, Kim Wilde said: ‘I can’t wait to be back at the Castle. Me, my band and some of my classic 80s hits.’
Matt Goss said: ‘My first ever time on a Let’s Rock stage and I’m gonna promise you the party of a lifetime.
‘I'll be bringing the best of Bros and a whole lot more.
‘So pop open your Grolsch bottle tops, get your Vegas swagger on and let’s celebrate together.’
DJ Pat Sharp will be back with his Let’s Rock Club Tropicana DJ set.
He said: ‘I'll transport you to a retro wonderland and the 80s hits will be generously served, with the energy of those Hit Factory heydays.
‘Come dressed to impress, rah rah skirts, leg warmers and mullets a must.’
