A FLOOD alert has been issued for areas across Teignbridge for tomorrow.
The Environment Agency is warning that flooding is possible for the rivers Teign, Bovey and Lemon on Thursday morning as well as coastal streams from Babbacombe to Kenton.
Widespread heavy rainfall is forecast overnight across Devon which will will cause rivers in the area to rise.
The main areas of concern are Newton Abbot, Kingsteignton, Teignmouth, Shaldon, Bovey Tracey, Kingskerswell, Dawlish and Dawlish Warren.
River levels suggest that there will be flooding to low lying land and roads close to rivers.
Rivers are expected to remain high throughout tomorrow.
An Environment Agency spokesman said: ‘Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions.
‘We are constantly monitoring river levels.’
