A VAN fire on the outskirts of a Dartmoor town saw firefighters called in.

Chagford Fire Station dispatched an appliance after reports of the fire near Moretonhampstead on Thursday, January 16.

Upon arrival, crew discovered a van that was well alight.

Two crew members wearing Breathing Apparatus and a foam jet was used to extinguish the fire.

The fire and damage was confined to the engine bay of the van.

The cause of the fire was accidental, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service have said.
