FIREFIGHTERS from Newton Abbot helped tackle a barn fire in Kentisbeare.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service initially sent three appliances and an aerial ladder platform, before an additional two appliances were called for.

Using hose reel jets, thermal imagining cameras and power tools, crews successfully extinguished the fire inside the barn.

The barn had been converted into commercial workshop.

‘There was 25 per cent fire damage to the roof and the cause of the fire was accidental’ Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said.
