POLICE are seeking witnesses after a cyclist was injured in a collision in Ashburton.

Emergency services were called at 4.30pm on Sunday, July 14, following the collision between a white Volkswagen Passat and blue Giant road bike on Headborough Road.

The cyclist, a man in 30s from Ashburton, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.

The car driver was uninjured.

Officers from the Roads Policing team are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and asking any witnesses or any motorist with relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
