Teignbridge's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm July 11 to 6am July 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 31 lane closure for surveys.

And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A38, from 8pm July 15 to 6am July 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 both directions Buckfastleigh to Ashburton lane closures for structure inspection.

A30, from 8pm July 17 to 6am July 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Wobbly Wheel junction. Kennford to M5, junction 31 carriageway closure for surveys, diversion for M5 traffic via A379 to junction 30, diversion for A30 traffic via A379, B3213, Trusham Road, Marsh Green Road West, Cowick Lane and A377 to Alphington junction.

A38, from 8pm July 17 to 6am July 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Harcombe lane closure for electrical works.

A38, from 8pm July 17 to 6am July 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 both directions Linhay to Peartree - lane closures for structure maintenance works.

A38, from 8pm July 24 to 6am July 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Lower Dean exit slip, lane closure for inspections.

A38, from 8pm July 25 to 6am July 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Haldon Hill to Chudleigh - lane closure for structure maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
