KINGSTEIGNTON has welcomed the opening of a new community larder.

Located in the porch area of the Community Hall on Rydon Road, the larder is aimed at those in need and opened on Friday, October 28.

Kingsteignton Town Council are behind the larder, which began construction on October 20.

The authority, via its website, said: ‘We have just started stocking our community food larder for those in need.

‘The foods are there to help people in our community, should you need it.

‘For those who don’t need food, please leave it for those who do, but if you can help by donating any foods for others, it would be very much appreciated.

‘Let’s build on this together and support each other in Kingsteignton.’
