A WORD puzzle has been causing mayhem... helping to raise money for one of Teignbridge’s many beloved outdoor swimming pools.

Created by artisan Stuart Goodman, the conundrum, which sits inside Dartmoor Whiskey Distillery, has stumped many a visitor to the popular Bovey Tracey attraction, so much so that more that £500 has been raised for the town’s swimming pool.

Unable to solve the puzzle, visitors pop some shrapnel into the money jar and once the sum has built up to a sizeable amount it is gifted to Bovey Tracey Swimming Pool.

‘Our thanks go out to Dartmoor Whiskey Distillery and their customers for generously supporting the home of swimming in Bovey Tracey’ a spokesperson for the pool said.

‘A fantastic £512 has been collected trying to solve the conundrum’ the spokesperson added.

Special thanks was also given to Greg Millar, owner of Dartmoor Whiskey Distillery, for his continued support of the town’s pool.
