IT has four walls, a bed and a toilet, but no television... Newton Abbot Police’s custody centre is good for many things, but watching England versus Denmark in the Euros is not one of them.

‘Our custody centres do not show any live football’ a spokesman for the force said.

‘It is simply four walls, a bed and a toilet.

‘We expect pubs to be busy later but please ensure you act in a safe and responsible manner, the national team gets a lot of people excited and many will be making plans to watch matches with friends and family.

‘Alcohol can and will change people’s behaviour, with emotions running high, things can easily go from friendly banter to something more aggressive

‘Don’t get yourself arrested!’
