DEVON has signed up to the armed forces covenant. Here’s what it will mean for our servicemen and women.
Conservative Devon County councillor Roger Croad, vice lord lieutenant of Devon the Countess of Arran and commandant of Lympstone commando training centre Colonel Chris Haw signed an armed forces covenant at county hall this week.
It reaffirmed a commitment made by the county council and Torbay Council 11 years ago.
The agreement aims to help servicemen and women getting back into civilian life, providing access to employment, healthcare and housing.
