THE handiwork of local WI members and village stalwart Barry Quick has transformed the village of Ipplepen in time for the Remembrance services.
Barry takes up the story: ‘I saw these soldiers at Brixton, Plymouth. I thought our village would like some.
‘So I drove back next day and took a pattern, got a MDF sheet from Southern Timber and made these to go with the 1,000 poppies the WI ladies over the last 12 months.’
