Teignmouth overpowered Dainton in a South Devon League golf match at Haldon Moor on Saturday.

In rare sunny conditions, Teignmouth lost the first two games, but came back strongly and won the remaining seven.

The excellent 7-2 victory takes Teignmouth back to the top of the league, but they are followed closely by Stover and an exciting finish to the season is looming.

Point earners for Teignmouth were Lloyd Gardner and Mark Haskell 5&4, Rory Hunt and Bob Collier 5&3, Jeremy Binch and Dave Turner 4&3, Alan Munson and Andy Burnham 4&3, Luke Radford and David Wills 2&1, Dave Best and Martin Spearman 2&1, Richard and Chas Armitage 1up.

Teignmouth's next match is away at Torquay on August 26.
