A PICTURE has been released fo the fire in Dawlish that a bathroom and left a man suffering with smoke inhalation.
Firefighters from Dawlish, Newton Abbot and Teignmouth were called out shortly after 10.30pm last night, Friday, to a property fire in Dawlish.
A Fire Control spokesperson said: ‘A call from the occupant was also taken confirming a fire had stated in the bathroom of the property.
‘Three appliances from the above locations were immediately mobilised.
‘Once crews arrived on scene, a request for a fourth fire appliance was sent to fire control which came from Newton Abbot.
‘Crews confirmed smoke and flames issuing from a two storey first floor flat which had now spread to the whole first floor and an attack jet with two breathing apparatus was deployed.
‘This was soon escalated to six breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, two safety jets, and one attack jet.
‘One male occupant of the property suffered from slight smoke inhalation which was seen to by the ambulance service who soon after discharged him on scene.
‘There was 100% fire damage to the bathroom and 70% fire and smoke damage to the remainder of the first floor.
‘The cause of the fire was deemed to be accidental.’
