TRAINEE police officers have been out on the streets of Dawlish as part of their final weeks before they qualify.

The would-be officers have just three weeks left of their initial training before they finish at police headquarters.

As part of their course, the practical days, some of which have been spent in Dawlish, are said to be a way to assess what they have learned.

PSCO Michelle Buckley was in Dawlish while they were out and about in the town.

She said: ‘Who saw our trainee police officers in Dawlish today?

‘These practical days are key to assess what they have learnt in the classroom and put it into practice. ‘Wishing them all the best of luck.’
