Sue Simpson, of Winterbourne Road, Teignmouth, writes:
I cannot believe what I am reading about the Costa Coffee opening in Teignmouth objections.
Our town has deteriorated beyond recognition because some traders want the monopoly and are holding the town to ransom.
They would rather see what is left of the shops close, than have their high prices jeopardised by a cheaper high street chain.
It is bad enough that we have two Co-ops – thank goodness for Morrisons, but we still have to leave town to shop (cheaper than the Co-op).
How many more shops have to close to be replaced by charity shops, or left closed?
Soon we will have no tourism at all, what then?
It's like living in the twilight zone and we re moving out. What a shame.OTHER LETTERS IN OUR DIGITAL EDITION
