TEIGNMOUTH Regatta finished on Sunday, and chairman Rona Boyne declared: ‘A fantastic week of family fun flew by, with children enjoying the holiday activities.
‘Lots of families came to every event, showing true British grit by turning up in the torrential rain for the family treasure hunt.’
The traditional Barham Cup Relay Race kicked off the regatta, with teams rowing dinghies up to Newton Abbot Town Quay, where the mayor Richard Jenks, and the Earl of Devon, Charles Courtenay, presented the trophies to the winning teams.
The Teignmouth Parkrun organisers joined in next day by asking runners to wear something yellow.
Other events included dinghy rowing and sailing in the harbour.
