WHEN it comes to post-Christmas walks in Shaldon they do things , how shall we say, a little different on Boxing Day.
The town’s annual three-legged race, featuring revellers dressed in all manner of outlandish, colourful and surreal costumes, took to the streets on Boxing Day with a dash around the town’s hostelries.

Close on 500 participants put their best feet forward to tackle the family fun run in the Shaldon Water Carnival-organised event which featured everything from jogging dinosaurs, a Dallas-inspired oil well and the Lion, Witch and Wardrobe from Narnia.
Organisers thanked all concerned, both participants, plus the numerous spectators, for taking part in what is a firmly established event in Shaldon’s community calendar.
