Teignbridge's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

A38, from 7pm January 28 to 6am January 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Goodstone to Linhay lane closure, for horticultural works.

A38, from 7pm January 29 to 6am January 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Goodstone to Drumbridges lane closure, for horticultural works.

A38, from 7pm January 30 to 6am January 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Harcombe to Splatford Split lane closure, for horticultural works.

A38, from 8pm January 31 to 4am February 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 both directions Drumbridges to Goodstone - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

A38, from 8pm January 31 to 6am February 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 both directions Harcombe Cross to Chudleigh, lane closures for survey works.

A38, from 6am February 3 to 6am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Chudleigh to Haldon Hill carriageway closure, for horticultural works. (Including 24/7 closure of Chudleigh station layby), diversion via B3344. B3193, Strap lane, B3195 and A380.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
