RESIDENTS in Dawlish will be joining the rest of the country in marking the first anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine today.

Mayor of Dawlish Cllr Lisa Mayne will be raising the Ukrainian flag in the town to recognise one year since the war began.

Dawlish has welcomed Ukrainian refugee families who have fled the conflict to live in the community.

The Stand With Ukraine event is taking place today at 4pm at the Piazza on the Lawn.

Throughout today, the Ukrainian flag is flying at the town council offices at the Manor House.
