AN AUGMENTED reality trail celebrating the Her Majesty’s 70 year reign has made its way to Teignmouth.
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacon Trail, coined the High Street Safari, is an interactive experience where players visit seven characters that have come to life from Buckingham Palace and are visiting the location on a day out.
Guided by the virtual character known as Sir Barnaby Beacon, prospective players will visit each character, who are located at seven different spots across Teignmouth, and learn about a different decade in Her Majesty’s 70 year reign.
Teignmouth Town Council applied to host the event and it is ongoing, beginning on April 30 and coming to an end on June 12.
Cllr Cate Williams said: ‘It’s a really good interactive activity for kids and families - it’s also a great way of getting out onto the streets, although it’s there to celebrate the Jubilee, it also an opportunity to walk around the town, and revisit areas of town that you perhaps haven’t been to for a while.’
