THIEVES have broken into several cars and vans in Dawlish.
Work vans were particularly targeted with tools left inside stolen.
Reports have come in from across the town last night and into the early hours.
Thefts have been reported in Elm Grove Road, Carhaix Way and Lower Drive while there was a further incident in Exeter Road of someone trying the front door of a property.
One report on social media said: ‘Last night my husband’s van was broken into, as well as a lot of other vehicles in Dawlish.’
Footage claims to have caught individuals driving around while one jumped out and broke into the vehicle while a second person remains in the car.
One victim said work power tools and a radio were taken in one incident.
Another in Elm Grove Road said the doors of a vehicle had been forced open and tools had been stolen.
Meanwhile on Sunday, two cars were sprayed with offensive graffiti using a spray can while parked in High Street.
A witness described seeing a group of teenagers, two boys and two girls in the street.
Police have been informed.
