NEWTON Abbot Rugby Club has launched its Christmas Hamper Appeal with the goal of helping those facing a difficult festive period.

The club is hoping to supply 150 hampers, which is enough for around 600 people, over the Christmas period, with each hamper costing around £30.

Newton Abbot Rugby Club, via the organisations GoFundMe page, said: ‘We will not fix the problem overnight or combat child poverty with a Christmas Hamper, but we can make Christmas a little easier for those families who do not deserve the hardship they find themselves in.’

Like their previous appeals, the club offer a ‘No Questions Asked’ basis to put down a name for a Christmas Hamper – all the club require is for people to email [email protected]
