Drivers in and around Teignbridge will have 17 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 17 closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• A30, from 10am to 2pm on February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Alphington exit and entry slip roads closed for surveys, diversion for exit slip via M5 northbound to junction 30 and return, non-motorway traffic southbound, on A38 to Kennford and return, diversion for entry slip westbound to Cheriton Bishop and return.

• A30, from 2pm to 3pm on February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Alphington entry slip road closed for surveys, diversion via A30 eastbound, M5 northbound to junction 30 and return, non-motorway traffic southbound, on A38 to Kennford and return.

• A38, from 7pm February 24 to 6am March 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 westbound, Splatford Split to Chudleigh carriageway closure, for horticultural works, diversion via A380, B3195, B3193, B3344 to rejoin A38.

• A30, from 7am to 2pm on February 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, M5, junction 31 to Woodleigh, lane closure for surveys.

• A30, from 8am to 2pm on February 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Tongue End to Whiddon Down - lane closure for inspection/surveys.

• A38, from 7pm February 26 to 7am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 both directions Dartbridge exit slip road lane closures and traffic signals for Devon County Council works.

• A30, from 7pm February 27 to 6am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fingle Glen - lane closure for safety barrier repairs.

• A30, from 8pm February 28 to 6am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fingle Glen, lane closure for barrier works.

• A30, from 8pm February 28 to 6am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 northbound, Wobbly Wheel exit slip, carriageway closure for Sign maintenance Scheme, diversion via A30, A377, March Grn Rd, Grace Rd, Hennock Rd.

• A30, from 8pm February 28 to 6am March 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A30 eastbound, Alphington exit slip, carriageway closure for Sign maintenance Scheme, diversion via A30, A38 Kennford and return.

• A30, from 10pm March 2 to 6am March 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A30 both directions Ide to junction 31 M5, carriageway closure for National Grid works. , diversion Via A377, Topsham Rd, A379 southbound, for the A38 and A379 northbound, for the M5 rejoin at, junction 30.

• A38, from 7pm March 3 to 6am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Chudleigh entry slip closure, for horticultural works, diversion via B3344 to rejoin A38.

• A38, from 8pm March 3 to 4am March 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Dartbridge entry slip road closed for drainage works. Diversion via B3380 to Lower Dean.

• A30, from 8pm March 3 to 6am March 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Cheriton Bishop to Fingle Glen - lane closure for electrical works.

• A38, from 8pm March 4 to 6am March 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Dartbridge entry slip road closed for electrical works. Diversion via local authority road.

• A38, from 7pm March 10 to 6am March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Chudleigh exit slip closure, for horticultural works, diversion via Old Haldon Hill, A380 to Kennford to rejoin A38 and return.

• A38, from 8pm March 10 to 6am March 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 Linhay to Goodstone used as a diversion for 3rd party (E and JW Glendinning Ltd) closure of Alston Lane.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
