ASHBURTON Food and Drink Festival was a success last weekend for its 15th year. It incorporated the Little Big Town Arts Festival which is in its third year.
The joint festivals hosted excellent food and drink traders selling a range of unique local and regional produce.
Despite the weather, the event was great with a selection of entertainment to suit all tastes and ages, and lots of people turned out.
There was music and comedy as well as talks covering a range of topics such as literature, playwriting, farming and cooking. Talks were engaging with ‘Ask a Farmer’ becoming a very lively discussion.
Many well-known faces in the world of food, literature, theatre and arts shared their wisdom and hosted engaging talks and workshops for people of all ages.
Rick Worthy, who helped organise the event said: ‘We had entertainment as well as things that addressed other topics people are interested in.
‘Lots of people came, we had a lot of stuff for children and the music appealed to a lot of different ages.’
