A KINGSTEIGNTON man will stand trial on a charge of using threatening words or behaviour that was racially aggravated.
Matthew Scott, aged 25, of Chariot Drive, pleaded not guilty to the charge of using threatening words or behaviour that was racially aggravated at a Café in Torquay’s Fleet Street on July 15 last year.
He denied a further charge of using threatening words or behaviour to another man on the same day in Torquay.
He has also denied a charge of damaging two chairs, to the value of £80, at the café.
South and West Devon Magistrates' Court remanded him on unconditional bail for a trial on July 25.
