BOVEY Tracey Heritage Trust is hosting an illustrated talk by David Stone on Tuesday evening.
Entitled ‘A Quest for the Medieval Manor of Bovey Tracey’, the event takes place in the Phoenix Hall, St John’s Lane at 7.30pm. Admission is £4, to include light refreshments, and there will also be a prize draw.
The talk is just one of several events organised by the trust each year.
Trust member Mike Lang said: ‘We operate the Bovey Tracey Heritage Centre, where you can see artefacts and displays about the town’s contribution to the pottery industry, the civil and world wars, the Haytor granite tramway, local mining, agriculture and railways.
‘In addition, the remains of an internationally-significant 18th century pottery kiln and a restored GWR brake van can also be found on site, together with models of Bovey and Moretonhampstead railway stations.’
Further details about the talk and the trust itself can be found at or by calling Mike on 01626 821631.
