GREAT Britain’s public service broadcaster has launched its ‘Make A Difference Awards’.

The annual British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) local radio campaign aims to celebrate those ‘who make life better for others in our communities’.

Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and awards will be given in each category, across each national and local BBC radio station, including BBC Radio Devon

Nominations close at 5pm on Monday, March 31.

In September, the BBC, the main responsibility of which is to ‘provide impartial public service broadcasting’, will host awards ceremonies announcing the winners for the eight categories.
