ICONIC post-punk band The Stranglers will be headlining Chagstock Festival this summer, writes Kate Cotton.
They will be the final act on Saturday night at the ‘Best Little Festival in The South West’, on Whiddon Down.
The festival runs from Friday, July 22 to Saturday, July 23.
Other acts confirmed include the popular Ferocious Dog; alt-folk six-piece Danny & The Champions Of The World; the BBC-endorsed Cattle & Cane; and a return performance from spellbinding Irish folk and blues troubadour Marc O’Reilly.
Many more acts will be announced soon, including the Friday headliner.
Festival organiser Simon Ford said: ‘We are delighted that a band as huge as The Stranglers have agreed to perform at Chagstock this year, and we are very proud of the quality of the other acts announced so far as well. 2016 really is set to be a vintage year for the festival.’
