A VILLAGE pub on the outskirts of Exeter is looking to expand its car park.
A popular haunt for many, Kenn’s The Ley Arms has submitted proposals for an overflow car park to Teignbridge District Council (TDC).
The application, validated by TDC on March 10, proposes a new space to the back of the existing car park and adjacent to the River Kenn.
A target date of May 5 has been given for TDC to make a decision.
Given that The Ley Arms is a Grade II listed building, the setting of the 17th century pub must be considered in the context of the proposed overflow carpark, the application’s Heritage Statement says.
25/00199/FUL will also be subject to Biodiversity Net Gain regulations, which have applied since April 2024.
