DAWLISH’S own version of Glastonbury music festival has been cancelled again this year.
Just a week before it was due to have taken place, organisers announced on social media that Snooky Fest will not be going ahead.
This is the fourth time the event has been cancelled over the last five years.
The spokesman wrote: ‘It’s with sincere regret that Snooky Fest is not going ahead this year.’
No information has been given about why the festival has been cancelled.
The family-friendly all day festival was scheduled to have taken place at Warren Farm on Saturday July 13.
The response from supporters has been disappointment.
One said: ‘Sad times, hopefully we will see snooky fest in the future.’
Others said: ‘Very sad to hear this, really sad about that, hope it can go ahead next year.’
Following the Covid pandemic, the event was cancelled in 2022 but was back last year.
Launched in 2017, the festival was the brainchild of Dawlish charity stalwart and recipient of the British Empire Medal Caz Steffens.
It raised money for the Snooky Trust, a charity helping young adults set up by Caz in memory of her brother Chris ‘Snooky’ Snook, who died in 2007 aged 27.
