FIVE people have been arrested after police shut down a rave on Dartmoor this morning, Monday, March 31.
Police from the Ivybridge and Rural Policing team were called to Cadover Bridge, Wotter, at around 7am.
Upon arrival, around 50 people were present, with more than 30 vehicles.
Officers spoke with the organisers and served them papers under Section 63 Criminal Justice & Criminal Order Act 1994, which ordered that they leave.
‘Organisers were receptive to this and packed away the equipment and cleaned the site of rubbish’ a spokesman for the police said.
Five people were arrested for a mixture of drug charges.
Police thanked members who were inconvenienced by the road closure that was put in place.
