POLICE have received reports about planned disorder in Torquay.
In an email seen by the Mid-Devon Advertiser, police say they have received a number of intelligence reports about planned disorder in Torquay since the unrest began.
So far, none of the reports have resulted in any actual activity, police say.
Devon and Cornwall Police are continuing to monitor and assess intelligence and are not advising any premises to close.
But should planned disorder be identified, police say they will provide information that will allow individuals to make the best decisions in the interest of their specific location.
‘We are not issuing any advice in terms of public safety over and above “daily business” and use of 999 if you see anything of concern’ a spokesperson said.
‘We do not have information to share in relation to times or specific location information’ the spokesperson added.
