INVENTIVE knitters from Bishopsteignton have loaned their Queen’s Jubilee creation for display at Teignmouth Pavilions.
Her Majesty, along with several corgis, soldiers and a Spitfire, is now taking pride of place in the foyer.
The Queen, complete with marmalade sandwich following the Jubilee appearance taking tea with Paddington Bear at Buckingham Palace, is inspecting the final consultation draft of Teignmouth’s Neighbourhood Plan which is currently on show at the Pavilions.
The talented knitting is the work of Bishopsteignton’s KnitNTink group which created the display for show in Fore Street in the village over the Jubilee weekend.
The group asked Pavilions bosses if they could display it for more people to see.
The ‘yarn bombing’ spectacle will be there until the end of July.
Meanwhile, the Neighbourhood Plan is nearing its final stages with the latest consultation.
The exhibition continues at the Pavilions until today (Thurs) and after that will relocate to Bitton House for the rest of the six week consultation.
