A NURSE from Dawlish Hospital has won an award for his ability to turn his hand to everything. 

Abdul Alhassan was nominated for an Our People Award after showing his passion for knowledge.

Adel Jones, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Torbay and South Devon Healthcare Trust, presented Abdul with the ‘we are always learning’ award. 

Abdul was nominated for his knowledge and keenness to learn, his interest to teach, and his ability to turn to anything, at any time.

Abdul was described as a keen advocate for learning. 

The nomination said: ‘From supporting staff of all bands from daily tasks, to helping them develop in their chosen field of work, nothing is too much. 

‘Every patient who has met Abdul remembers his name, and it is always followed with the highest praise. 

‘Thank you, Abdul for always supporting your colleagues and our patients.’
