POLICE are investigating break-ins to two garages in Newton Abbot and they are appealing for information.

They report that two garages were entered in Mayfield Crescent in the early hours of August 24.

A police spokesperson said: 'Entry was forced to one garage at around 1.30am and a Wisper electric bike was stolen.

'The second garage was targeted between 1.30am and 2am. Nothing was stolen but damage was caused to the garage door.

'Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time of the offences is asked to contact police online or by telephone on 101, quoting crime reference 50230230848 [bike theft] or 50230230947 [second garage].'
