A MOSAIC was created by all children and staff at Bradley Barton Primary School as a gift from the school’s retiring headteacher Julie Barton who was in post for fifteen years.

The Helen Foundation also provided a donation towards this ambitious project and the beautiful artwork was designed and produced by Devon artist Monica Shanta.

The mosaic now hangs pride of place in the school’s dining area, and Tom Page, new headteacher led three separate unveiling  celebrations so that all KS2 and KS1 children at Bradley Barton would have the opportunity to experience the ‘unveiling and gifting’.  

Said a delighted Julie: ‘The mosaic is entitled ‘Your light brightens our world’ and reminds us all that we are all children of the universe and have every right to be here.’
