A FUNDRAISING concert in aid of charity is coming to Ashburton.

The concert, which is on behalf of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA), will take place at St Andrew’s Church in Ashburton and feature Ashburton Community Folk Orchestra and the Moorland Mandolins.

The evening’s entertainment will start with the popular the former playing a set of foot-tapping folk tunes from the British Isles and beyond, with the second half being the Moorland Mandolins’ turn to perform.

They will play a variety of popular pieces drawn from both their classical and contemporary repertoire.

Both orchestras are conducted by local musician David Faulkner.

All donations from the evening, which takes place on Saturday, November 9, will go to the MNDA.

Entry is free, with doors opening at 6.15pm for a 7pm start.

There will be a raffle and refreshments.
