THE full line-up for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend is to be announced on Monday morning on the breakfast show.
Confirmed acts playing at Powderham Castle on May 28 and 29 are Coldplay, Ellie Goulding, The 1975, Craig David, Jake Bugg, Chase and Status and Bring Me The Horizon.
There is a lot of speculation on who else will be joining the seven chart-topping acts. Artists suggested so far include Adele and Justin Bieber, who have the days currently free in their tour diaries.
The exciting news of the line-up comes after 50,000 tickets were snapped up in just over an hour earlier this month.
A BBC spokesman said: ‘The line-up for Radio 1’s Big Weekend will be announced on Monday during the Breakfast Show with Scott Mills.’
Coldplay and Ellie Goulding have links to Calvin Harris and Beyonce, could they be next to join the bill?
Teignmouth band Muse are also favourites to grace the stage at Powderham Castle.
We will have the full line-up and more details on our website on Monday morning.
