THE ICONIC Black Swans of Dawlish have started laying another clutch of eggs.

The pair has chosen the same location as back in January to lay their next eggs, in rushes next to a footpath which runs along the Brook.

The waterfowl warden has again cordoned off the area with barriers to give the birds protection.

The swans have a specially created nesting site at Tuck’s Plot, built at a high level to avoid being washed away during storms or high water.

But the parents have again chosen this area on the Lawn instead.

There is at least one egg on the nest.

Passersby are asked to be mindful of the nesting swans and not to feed them.
