TEIGNBRIDGE planners have received an application for eight homes on the A382 Bovey Tracey Road just outside Newton Abbot.

The application, from Linden Lea Caravan Storage, is for a mixture of two three-bed, three four-bed and three five-bedroom homes.

This replaces an earlier application for 12 detached homes, which was withdrawn last year.

The site is on what was formerly an orchard and garden, and since 2010 has been used for the storage of caravans, boats and motor homes (some 65 pitches). The new homes are described as being of a contemporary appearance with a flat roof design with detached garages.
