GENEROUS audience members raised £600 for The Helen Foundation at the Shaldon Singers concert recently.

The cash, presented to Annie and Roger Kirk who founded the charity, was drummed up in a retiring collection at May’s event.

Mr and Mrs Kirk started the arts-based charity after their daughter Helen, an actor, died in a car accident on Boxing Day 2005 aged just 24.
