HALDON Hash House Harriers were amongst the exhibiting groups at the recent Festival of Flowers held in the 705 year old St Mary’s Church, Denbury.
‘The Hashers’, who think of Denbury as their headquarters and frequently lay trails of flour or sawdust through Denbury’s ancient pathways and lanes, decided to create a special trail of their individual footprints for the festival.
They made the footprints using a biodegradable salt dough pastry mix, which they baked in the hot sunshine and painted with their hash nicknames.
The biggest footprints – size 16 - belonged to ‘Bigfoot’, who has been hashing since 1990, and the smallest belong to ‘Echo Echo’ and ‘Stitch’, the youngest members of the hash.
