SPORTS cars, motorhomes and ambulances were among the vehicles that passed by Newton Abbot Fire Station’s charity car wash this year.
More than £2,000 has been raised by the town’s firefighters, who held their annual car wash this past Saturday, March 29.
The money, which totalled £2,140, will be donated to The Firefighters Charity.
The charity specialises in providing both physical and mental support for firefighters and their families.
‘We would like to thank everyone who came down and to thank you all once again for your amazing generosity’ a spokesman for Newton Abbot Fire Station said.
‘We would also like to provide a special thank you to The Pizza Cafe and to Kimmy's (based out of B&Q) for supplying us with masses of food to help us keep going throughout the day’ the spokesman added.
